Today we took part in the Ger Power Memorial hurling tournament in Knocklong. It was a really enjoyable, well organised and fun filled event. Schools entered teams in the A and B competitions. This is a great idea as it ensures maximum participation. While it was a fun blitz there was some excellent, competitive and skilful hurling on display. There were also some great individual displays. Thanks to the Power family and friends who organised everything and especially for inviting us. Well done to Hospital NS who won the A competition and to Glenbrohane NS who won the B competition. Well done to Jerry Barrett and Eugene McCraith who won a trophy for their displays today. It's great this competition is back again after COVID. It is a fabulous way to remember a great Gael.
